Who Is Luka Safronov?
Safronov is a self-professed McDonald’s fan, who has been driven to extreme measures to try and save the fast-food chain from closure. Safronov has chained himself to the entrance of a McDonald’s in his home country, in order to stop the restaurant from being shut down. Safronov claims that he is doing this out of love for the chain, and not out of financial need. Luka Safronov, a Russian entrepreneur and fan of McDonald’s, has locked himself to the roof of a McDonald’s outlet in Moscow to prevent it from closing down. Safronov, who has a history of mental illness, says he is doing this to protect the jobs of the employees. Safronov has repeatedly tweeted about his plans to lock himself to the restaurant and has even released a video in which he states that he will remain there until McDonald’s agrees to renegotiate its contract with the Moscow-based outlet. Luka Safronov, a Russian man, has been protesting outside of a McDonald’s in Moscow since Monday. Safronov has been chained to the restaurant by his arms and legs, in order to prevent it from closing down. Safronov is protesting the closure of McDonald’s because he claims that the chain employs unprofessional employees and does not serve good food. Safronov started his protest after he was fired from his job at McDonald’s because he refused to sign a document stating that he had no complaints about his work. A McDonald’s fanatic chained himself to a Russian outlet because he was upset it was closing down. Luka Safronov posted a picture on his VK account holding a handcuff key and wrote: “I put on the handcuffs and will not remove them until they bring back the McDonald’s that is due to close, An enraptured love affair with McDonald’s has resulted in one man chaining himself to the counter of a Russian branch in a desperate bid to stop it from closing down. Luka Safonov, 30, climbed over the roof and came down through the ceiling, and then chained himself to the fast-food restaurant’s furniture.
