Urvashi Vaid Death Reason
In 1989, Urvashi became the Executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Taskforce, where she solved all the problems and showed them in public for the world to know what problems the community has to face. She worked for years for the rights of the community. She is the partner of comedian Kate Clinton. Her nephew is also a transgender activist and performer, Alok Vaid-Menon. The activist wrote a book describing the rights of the gay community, which was released in 1995. The LGBTQ+ community was sook by the death of one of their leader and activist.

Kira Johnson the new Executive of the National LGBTQ Task Force said that they were shocked to know the demise of one of their influential activist in the community. She further added and said that Urvashi was a warrior and leader, and was the most loved one amongst her colleagues. The CEO of Lambda Legal, Kevin Jennings said that many were influenced by Urvashi, including Kevin as well. He also said that Urvashi was a visionary leader, whose impact was laid on many people.

Lori L.Jean the CEO of the Los Angeles LGBTQ center also came forward and said the world has lost a great activist from the LGBTQ community, and a fighter for justice and equality. For years the LGBTQ community has been struggling with showing their presence in the world. Urvashi was one amongst the others who shed light upon how the LGBTQ necessities, the queer aspects, and the struggles they have been facing in the world. The activist dies at the age of 64, at her home while she was battling cancer.
